Consultant Clinical Pathologist

As a Consultant Clinical Pathologist, you set the diagnostic standard for the whole lab. You'll lead the interpretation and sign-off of complex results, guide the technologist team, and be the physician voice on critical values.

You'll safeguard our ISO 15189 accreditation, shape the test menu, and mentor the people who make careful work possible.

• Interpret and authorise complex and critical results across disciplines.
• Set and audit diagnostic standards, reference ranges, and reflex-testing rules.
• Mentor technologists and support their clinical development.
• Own accreditation readiness and quality governance.
• Advise clinicians and patients on results where a physician's judgement is needed.

• A valid DHA Consultant licence in Clinical Pathology / Laboratory Medicine.
• Board certification in the relevant specialty.
• At least 8 years' post-certification experience.
• A track record in quality systems and accreditation.
