The attention was very clear and fast. Jophy Mathew was very polite and kind with his service, 5 stars for him. The medical testes were quickly. I recommend this company a lot!

Inside the Hair Loss Profile
A Hair Loss Blood Test in Dubai is for shedding that may have a cause you can act on. The panel reports 32 biomarkers from 12 tests in one blood draw, covering the systems most often behind diffuse hair loss: iron status (ferritin, serum iron and total iron binding capacity (TIBC)), thyroid function (thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH), free thyroxine (FT4) and free tri-iodothyronine (FT3)), nutrition (vitamin B12, folate, vitamin D and zinc), plus total testosterone and a full blood count. It suits anyone noticing thinning, shedding or a receding hairline, and women whose hair loss followed pregnancy, illness or rapid weight loss.
Hair grows in cycles, and much sudden shedding is the scalp reacting to something systemic a couple of months earlier: a fever, surgery, childbirth, a crash diet, a stretch of stress. Ferritin is the most useful marker here: iron stores fall long before a blood count turns anaemic, and low stores are a recognised contributor to shedding in women. Thyroid disease thins hair diffusely in either direction. Deficiencies of B12, folate, vitamin D and zinc are associated with poor hair growth and are straightforward to correct. A raised total testosterone points instead towards an androgen-driven pattern of loss.
One blood sample covers all 12 tests. Fast for 8–12 hours overnight beforehand (plain water is fine) because serum iron, TIBC and zinc are read against a fasted morning sample, and serum iron in particular drifts through the day. Free home collection is available anywhere in Dubai, 7 days a week, and your physician-reviewed Smart Report follows within 48 hours, with Transferrin Saturation calculated from the iron results at no extra charge.
A normal panel is still useful: it moves the question to the scalp itself, where a dermatologist examines the pattern of loss. Where a deficiency is found and corrected, hair answers in months rather than weeks, so repeat testing is timed to the follow-up your doctor suggests.

4 tests- ZINZincTrace mineral for immunity, wound healing, taste and smell.
- VITVitamin D, 25 Hydroxy (25-OH), TotalThe definitive vitamin D test: bone, immunity and mood.
- VB12CVitamin B12 (Cyanocobalamin)B12 for nerves, DNA and red cells: vegetarians often run short.
- FAFFolic Acid (Folate)Vitamin B9, needed for DNA, red cell production and pregnancy.
Biochemistry
3 tests- FERFerritinYour iron stores: these fall before anaemia shows in a blood count.
- IROIronCirculating iron in your blood, best drawn fasting in the morning.
- TOTTotal Iron Binding Capacity (TIBC)How much iron your transferrin could carry: high when iron is short.
Endocrinology
3 tests- THYThyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH)The single most sensitive test of thyroid function.
- TRITri-Iodothyronine, Free (FT3)Active free T3: often the first to rise in hyperthyroidism.
- TFFT4Thyroxine, Free (FT4)The active, unbound T4: paired with TSH to steer dosing.

Fast overnight and book early
Nothing to eat for 8–12 hours before the appointment; plain water is fine. Serum iron, TIBC and zinc are all read against a fasted morning sample, so the first slot of the day is best.

One draw, 12 tests, 32 biomarkers
A DHA-licensed phlebotomist takes a single blood sample at your home, your office or the lab. Iron, thyroid, vitamins, minerals, testosterone and the blood count all come from it.

Iron studies read as a set
Ferritin, serum iron and TIBC only make sense together, so the report adds Transferrin Saturation, calculated from those results, at no extra cost.
Frequently asked questions
32 biomarkers from 12 tests: ferritin, serum iron and TIBC for iron status; TSH, free T4 and free T3 for the thyroid; vitamin B12, folate, vitamin D and zinc for nutrition; total testosterone for androgens; and a full blood count. Transferrin Saturation is calculated and added to the report.
There is no need to wait. Shedding usually surfaces a couple of months after whatever triggered it, so by the time you notice it the underlying iron, thyroid and vitamin picture is already there to be measured, and the sooner a deficiency is found, the sooner correcting it can help.
Because they fail in that order. Ferritin measures your iron stores, and those empty long before haemoglobin drops far enough for a blood count to look anaemic. Hair is sensitive to that early stage, which a blood count alone would miss entirely.
Yes, and in both directions: an underactive and an overactive thyroid can each cause diffuse thinning across the scalp rather than a receding pattern. It is one of the more treatable causes, which is why TSH, free T4 and free T3 are all measured here rather than TSH alone.
It checks the things that make post-partum shedding worse and last longer, particularly iron stores, vitamin D and thyroid function, all of which are commonly depleted after a pregnancy. The shedding itself is usually a temporary phase, and your doctor interprets the results with that in mind.
Deficiencies of each are associated with poor hair growth, and zinc deficiency in particular is a recognised cause of hair loss. They are worth measuring because they are common in Dubai, easy to correct and easy to overtreat: supplementing without a result first is guesswork.
Androgens drive pattern hair loss, and in women a raised total testosterone alongside irregular periods or acne points towards polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) as the reason. Note that pattern loss often occurs with entirely normal androgen levels: our PCOS panel goes further if the cycle is also affected.
It narrows things usefully rather than leaving you nowhere. With the treatable systemic causes checked, the question moves to the scalp itself: pattern hair loss, traction and the scarring conditions are diagnosed by a dermatologist examining the hair and skin, not by blood.
The iron and zinc markers set the rule. Serum iron follows a daily rhythm and reads highest in the morning, while zinc and TIBC are standardised to a fasted sample. So fast for 8–12 hours overnight with plain water only, and take the earliest appointment you can.
AED 449 covers all 12 tests, the calculated Transferrin Saturation and free home collection anywhere in Dubai, 7 days a week, by a DHA-licensed phlebotomist. Your physician-reviewed Smart Report reaches your secure dashboard within 48 hours of collection.

I had my full OGTT done at Intel Lab and had a great experience. The employees were very friendly, welcoming, and accommodating throughout the process. They explained each step clearly, which really helped ease my nerves. They also took my blood sample very carefully, especially since I’m afraid of needles, which I truly appreciated. Everything was handled professionally and smoothly. Highly recommended!
