Inside the Advanced Health Checkup
The Advanced Health Checkup in Dubai is our broad annual screen: liver, kidney, lipid, iron, diabetes and vitamin markers, a full blood count, a routine urinalysis and stool microscopy, reported as 72 biomarkers from a single appointment. It is built for adults over 35 taking a proper baseline, for anyone with diabetes, heart or kidney disease in the family, and for people who have felt tired or run-down for weeks without an obvious reason.
The value is in reading the groups against each other. Fasting glucose and glycated haemoglobin (HbA1c) put today's blood sugar beside your average over the past two to three months, so one high morning reading is seen in context. Total, LDL, HDL and VLDL cholesterol with triglycerides describe cardiovascular risk, while alanine aminotransferase (ALT) and gamma-glutamyl transferase (GGT) show whether the liver is carrying that metabolic load. Iron, ferritin and total iron binding capacity (TIBC) explain a low haemoglobin on the complete blood count (CBC) instead of leaving it unexplained, and creatinine, urea and estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) are checked from the other side by protein, blood and sugar in the urine.
Three samples are needed: blood and urine at the appointment, plus a stool sample you provide in your own time from the container handed over with instructions. Because fasting glucose, the lipid panel and serum iron are included, arrive after an 8–12 hour overnight fast: plain water is fine, and keep taking prescribed medication unless your doctor advises otherwise. A DHA-licensed phlebotomist visits your home or office anywhere in Dubai, 7 days a week, at no extra cost. Results are typically ready within 24 hours.
Vitamin D and vitamin B12 are here because both are common, correctable causes of fatigue and low mood. Most people repeat a whole-body screen once a year, or sooner if a marker came back borderline; your doctor reads the report alongside your symptoms, weight, blood pressure and history.

- CLDLDCholesterol, LDL (Direct)Directly measured LDL: more reliable than the calculated figure.
- TRITriglyceridesBlood fats tied to heart disease and pancreatitis risk.
- APALPAlkaline Phosphatase (ALP)Enzyme shared by liver and bone: raised in bile duct and bone disorders.
- BDBilirubin, DirectThe liver-processed form of bilirubin: raised in bile duct blockage.
- BIUBilirubin, Indirect (Unconjugated)Unprocessed bilirubin: rises with red cell breakdown and Gilbert's syndrome.
- BTBilirubin, TotalDirect and indirect bilirubin together, a staple of liver function panels.
- PTSProtein, Total, SerumAlbumin and globulin combined: liver, kidney and nutrition.
- ALBAlbuminThe liver's main blood protein: low in liver, kidney or nutrition problems.
- ASPAspartate Aminotransferase (AST/SGOT)Liver, heart and muscle enzyme, usually read alongside ALT.
- ALAAlanine Aminotransferase (ALT/SGPT)The liver enzyme that leaks into blood when liver cells are damaged.
- GAMGamma Glutamyl Transferase (GGT)Liver enzyme especially sensitive to alcohol and bile duct blockage.
- IROIronCirculating iron in your blood, best drawn fasting in the morning.
- FERFerritinYour iron stores: these fall before anaemia shows in a blood count.
- TOTTotal Iron Binding Capacity (TIBC)How much iron your transferrin could carry: high when iron is short.
- UREUreaProtein waste cleared by the kidneys, the sibling of BUN.

Book an early fasting slot
Choose a home visit or a lab appointment in the booking wizard and pick an early slot, so the 8–12 hour overnight fast falls while you sleep. Plain water is fine throughout.
- 2
Blood, urine, and the stool step
Blood and urine are collected during the appointment. The stool sample is the one you provide in your own time, and your phlebotomist shows you how to fill and label the container before leaving.

Analysed at our EIAC lab
Everything is analysed at our EIAC-accredited laboratory (ISO 15189:2022) under DHA licence 0046381, with the urine and stool samples examined under the microscope alongside the automated blood count.

Your report within 24 hours
Your Smart Report arrives within 24 hours, ordered by organ (liver, kidney, lipids, sugar, iron, vitamins) with anything sitting outside its reference range flagged for your doctor.
Frequently asked questions
Six groups in one sitting: liver enzymes and proteins, kidney function, the full lipid panel, blood sugar including glycated haemoglobin (HbA1c), iron studies, and vitamins D and B12, plus a complete blood count, a routine urinalysis and stool microscopy. That is 72 biomarkers in total.
Stool microscopy looks for blood, mucus, and parasites or their ova: findings a blood test cannot show. It is a common and treatable explanation to check for when you have bloating, loose stools, or an iron level that keeps sliding despite supplements.
Total cholesterol, directly measured LDL, HDL, VLDL and triglycerides form the lipid picture, and the report adds ratios calculated from those same results. Blood sugar, HbA1c, uric acid and kidney filtration matter too, because metabolic and renal strain add to cardiovascular risk.
The Executive Health Checkup builds on this screen with thyroid function (thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH), free T4 and free T3) and a full electrolyte panel of sodium, potassium and chloride. It is the better choice when fatigue, weight change or brain fog point towards the thyroid.
It screens the measurable causes a doctor checks first: anaemia and low iron stores, high or unstable blood sugar, low vitamin D or vitamin B12, and liver or kidney strain. Thyroid hormones are not part of this tier, so if fatigue persists your doctor may add them.
Adults over 35 taking an annual baseline, people with diabetes, heart or kidney disease in close relatives, and anyone who wants urine and stool covered alongside blood. If you only need a brief metabolic snapshot, a smaller profile may serve you better: our care team can advise, so get in touch.
Once a year suits most adults with no diagnosed condition. When a marker comes back borderline (a creeping HbA1c, low ferritin, a raised liver enzyme), your doctor will usually want a recheck after about three months, once diet, exercise or a supplement has had time to move it.
Yes. Fasting glucose, the lipid panel and serum iron all need an 8–12 hour overnight fast, so an early morning slot is easiest. Plain water is encouraged; tea, coffee and juice are not. Keep taking prescribed medication unless the doctor who prescribed it tells you otherwise.
Yes. The bundled price sits below the total of the individual tests it contains, which is the point of curating a panel rather than shopping marker by marker. It is also the whole cost: the home visit, the containers, laboratory processing and the physician review are inside it, with nothing added afterwards.
Results are typically ready within 24 hours of the samples reaching the laboratory. They are released as a secure digital Smart Report once a physician has reviewed them, from our EIAC-accredited laboratory (ISO 15189:2022) under DHA licence 0046381.

I had my full OGTT done at Intel Lab and had a great experience. The employees were very friendly, welcoming, and accommodating throughout the process. They explained each step clearly, which really helped ease my nerves. They also took my blood sample very carefully, especially since I’m afraid of needles, which I truly appreciated. Everything was handled professionally and smoothly. Highly recommended!
