The attention was very clear and fast. Jophy Mathew was very polite and kind with his service, 5 stars for him. The medical testes were quickly. I recommend this company a lot!

Inside the STD Basic Screening
The STD Basic Screening: HIV, Hepatitis & Syphilis is the baseline blood test most people have in mind when they ask for a sexual-health check. From one sample it runs four assays covering five reported targets: a fourth-generation HIV test for types 1 and 2 with the p24 antigen, hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg), hepatitis C antibodies (anti-HCV), and an RPR screen for syphilis. It is the routine, confidential starting point for a new relationship, a periodic check, or peace of mind after unprotected contact.
These four belong together because they behave alike: each is carried in blood, each can stay quiet for years, and each is treatable once found. HIV is caught by antigen and antibody together; hepatitis B by its surface antigen, which shows an infection that is active now. Hepatitis C is screened by antibody, which records exposure rather than current infection, so a positive is followed by an HCV RNA test for the virus itself. Syphilis is screened by RPR, a non-treponemal test that measures the body's reaction to the infection rather than the bacterium: sensitive and quick, but pregnancy, autoimmune conditions and recent illness can make it reactive without syphilis, which is why every reactive RPR goes on to a treponemal confirmation.
One blood draw covers all of it. There is no fasting, no swab and no change to your routine or medicines. A DHA-licensed phlebotomist comes to your home or office anywhere in Dubai free of charge, seven days a week, and the laboratory is open to you if you would rather not have a visit. Every target is reported separately, physician-reviewed, within 24 hours.
What this screen does not reach is the genital tract. Chlamydia, gonorrhoea and their neighbours are found by PCR on a urine sample, not in blood, so add a urine panel if you have symptoms or want both sides in one booking. And because antigens and antibodies take their own time to appear, a very recent exposure may not show yet; your doctor may advise a repeat.

From booking to answers in a few days
- 1
One booking, no doctor's letter
Pick a home visit or a laboratory slot when you book. No referral, no consultation and no waiting room, and you decide the address the phlebotomist comes to.
- 2
Eat normally, morning or evening
None of the four assays is affected by food or drink, so there is no fasting and no reason to skip your medicines. Choose whichever appointment time is easiest to keep to yourself.
- 3
Four assays from a single tube
A DHA-licensed phlebotomist takes one small blood sample. HIV, hepatitis B, hepatitis C and the RPR syphilis screen are all run from it at our EIAC-accredited laboratory.
- 4
Every target reported separately
The five targets come back individually, physician-reviewed, in a secure Smart Report within 24 hours. A reactive RPR or hepatitis C antibody arrives with the confirmatory test that follows it.
Frequently asked questions
Four assays reported as five targets: HIV types 1 and 2 with the p24 antigen, hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg), hepatitis C antibodies, and RPR for syphilis. All of them run from one blood sample, with no fasting and no swab required.
Because they behave the same way. Each is carried in blood, each can go years without producing a symptom, and each is treatable once identified, so looking is the only reliable way to find them. Screening them in one draw also gives your doctor a single dated baseline to measure against later.
RPR is a non-treponemal test: it measures the antibody response your body mounts during syphilis rather than detecting the bacterium. That makes it a good first-line screen, but pregnancy, autoimmune disease and recent infections can make it reactive without syphilis, so a reactive RPR is always confirmed with a treponemal test.
Not necessarily. The antibody records that your immune system has met the virus, and it stays positive after an infection has cleared on its own or been treated. The follow-up is an HCV RNA test, which looks for the virus itself and answers whether the infection is still active.
No. Those organisms live in the genital tract and are detected by PCR on a urine sample rather than in blood. The STD Core Screening (STD-7) covers chlamydia, gonorrhoea, trichomonas and the mycoplasma and ureaplasma species, and can be booked alongside this one.
For blood-borne infections it is the standard baseline, and for many people that is exactly the question they arrived with. If you have discharge, burning or irritation, add a urine PCR panel: the STD Advanced 20 combines this blood screen with a fourteen-target genital panel and a urinalysis in one booking.
A test now gives you a dated starting point and is worth having. Antigens and antibodies each take their own time to become detectable, though, so a recent exposure may not show yet, and your doctor may advise repeating the screen after a suitable interval.
A screening result is a signal, not a verdict. Each marker has its own confirmatory test: a treponemal test after a reactive RPR, HCV RNA after a hepatitis C antibody, a second-method assay after HIV, and our team contacts you with the next steps, with a physician explaining what that test is looking for.
Yes. You book this screen yourself, the sample is taken at an address you choose, and all five targets are reported to you alone through your secure account. It is private health screening rather than a visa or employment medical, which is arranged separately. Our STD testing in Dubai page explains how it works.
AED 299 includes all four assays and free home sample collection anywhere in Dubai, seven days a week, by a DHA-licensed phlebotomist. The physician-reviewed Smart Report is released within 24 hours of the sample reaching our EIAC-accredited laboratory.

I had my full OGTT done at Intel Lab and had a great experience. The employees were very friendly, welcoming, and accommodating throughout the process. They explained each step clearly, which really helped ease my nerves. They also took my blood sample very carefully, especially since I’m afraid of needles, which I truly appreciated. Everything was handled professionally and smoothly. Highly recommended!
